First Class Packaging

First Class Packaging is a manufacturer of custom packaging solutions. They provide the design and manufacture of the case and interiors to produce custom fitting for the customer's product.

First Class Packaging was referred to Sieben Design by PingIT. We were told that First Class Packaging would need a simple website redesign. Upon initial inspection, we discovered that we could easily boost their online presence beyond that of their competition by coding their site by hand - using css markup, unobtrusive JavaScript and a keyword-rich markup style. The results were immediately apparent. Days after the launch of the site they received a large order via their contact page, from someone who just found their website.

The client asked for a fixed-width, two column layout. This layout can be easily achieved using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), we opted to implement the functionality of the Yahoo User Interface (YUI) library, which allowed us to present the markup in unordered "div's" (or blocks).
